“I first met Thomas McNulty at the Windy City Pulp show years ago,” reports Airship 27 Productions Managing Editor Ron Fortier. “At that time he was selling his comprehensive biography of Hollywood swashbuckler, Errol Flynn. We became friends and I later learned he is one of the premier western writers in the country today.”

Though successful at writing westerns, McNulty had always wanted to pen an old fashion pulper inspired by the man whose life he had chronicled, Errol Flynn. From that inspiration was born “The Adventures of Captain Graves.” He approached Fortier with the idea and soon the book was in full production.

Now Thomas McNulty spins a fast paced tale of two-fisted men, beautiful women and lush island paradises where both heaven and hell await. Canadian Ted Hammond provides the gorgeous cover and Ed Catto, a well known marketing personality, donned his own artist cap to do nine black and white interior pieces, all of which was assembled by award winning Art Direct Rob Davis.

When the president of the First National Bank of Durban dies mysteriously, consumed by flames, a beautiful Zulu woman named Izula approaches hunter-guide Allan Quatermain with a fantastic tale. In the end, he is forced to bring her along, though he adamantly refuses to fight with her. All Xiao seeks is spiritual contentment in achieving his Doa.

Once again Barbara Doran weaves a fanciful adventure merging two different cultures against a unique moment in American history. Hawaiian based Gary Kato provides the interiori illustrations and Art Director Rob Davis the cover to this fast paced adventure. "Third in the Snow series from Bobby Nash, "Snow Drive" is a fast paced action-er with lots of character moments and NASCAR. Did I say NASCAR? Yep. The main plot is to solve sabotage occurring to a racing team at Atlanta Motor Speedway. While the main plot is interesting enough, there are also continuing elements from the earlier two books involving the Ortega cartel. One of the fun parts of the book is the development of Big John Salmon. He's Archer Snow's personal driver and mechanic, best friend to Abraham Snow, the main character. We learn NASCAR was a dream for him, one that crashed and burned when he went to prison for auto theft. Lots of moments as he tries to empathize with Beau Chambers, the bad boy of the Chambers Race Team. Again, a great, fast read and highly recommended. Looking forward to the next Snow adventure!"

Realizing he is facing a supernatural threat, Captain Dan Griffin enlists the aid of the city’s own gruesome crime fighter, the Purple Scar. Secretly plastic surgeon Doctor Miles Murdoch, the Scar, with the aid of his nurse Dale Jordan and ally Tommy Pedlar, is quickly on the hunt for the mastermind behind the fog of terror. For in the first time in his vigilante career, the Purple Scar is battling an evil scientific genius whose purposes can only herald doom and bloodshed. It is a battle he cannot afford to lose.

Having contributed short stories to the two previous volumes in this series, Moyers took the next step in writing a novel featuring the Haunted Horror.  “We see it often enough,” says Airship 27 Managing Editor, Ron Fortier. “Every now and then a New Pulp writer will develop a special affinity for a golden age character. Moyers seemed to have fixated on the uniqueness of the Scar’s persona. More than just a run-of-the-mill avenger type, the Purple Scar stories infused a generous portion of horror along with their suspense. It was this added element that fascinated Moyers and eventually inspired him to write The Black Fog. And we couldn’t be any happier.”

Joining Moyers on the project were two amazing artists. Former Pulp Factory Award winner Chris Kohler provided the 9 black and white interior illustrations while British painter Graham Hill the eerie colorful cover depicting the gruesome Scar.  Art Director Rob Davis brought it all together to produce one of Airship 27 Productions’ most spectacular titles. If you think you know the Purple Scar, think again.
