THE ADVENTURES OF DOC ATLAS
Volume Three
One of New Pulp’s most popular heroes returns in two new action-packed novellas. Here are Doctor Michael Atlas and his companions, lawyer Ace Assante and chemist Mad Dog Daegan as they take on two new colorful villains. In “The Scarlet,” it is 1938 and a very young Doc Atlas must come to grips with the murder of his father, Victor Atlas, and hunt down his killer. His prey is a notorious gunrunner from the British Isle and Doc and his team travel to Portugal and then Paris to stop the villain from selling arms to the German Nazis on the eve of World War II.
Then we’re taken to 1948 where New York’s Harlem is about to explode with gang violence. Amidst the gun bloody gunbattles, bizarre, nearly indestructible Zombies appear. Bullets are ineffective against these lifeless horrors and it will take all of Doc’s training to uncover their secret and restore peace and sanity to the great city.
Once again writers Michael Black and Ray Lovato catapult readers into the thrilling world of pulp adventure as they expertly recapture the excitement and fun of those long-ago days.
